CV Skills and Interview Workshop at Nomura Offices
BSix College celebrates the ‘City Giving Day’ with its students. More than 100 students, from BTEC Business & ICT courses, had a day of workshops about how to improve their CV’s and employability skills at the prestigious Nomura Bank. Nomura provides investment banking services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The event was realised in partnership with the charity, Young Enterprise, who offer the opportunity for year 12 students to develop employability skills. The students had their CV’s evaluated by staff members from Nomura Bank that volunteered to participate in the event.
The workshop was part of “City Giving Day” created by the Lord Mayor of the City of London to incentivise Corporate Social Responsibility in the financial sector
“I believe that helping society has always been a key element of what the City does - and CITY GIVING DAY is an important way to demonstrate the value of the City to our society. There are over 350,000 workers in the City, and thousands more connected to it, all of whom make a difference in this way by giving a little back to society.” (Lord Mayor of the City of London)
