New Leadership in Maths at BSix
Maths at BSix has a new team leader : Danny Brown. Danny takes over a team which teaches Maths GCSE and A Levels in Maths and Further Maths.
Maths at BSix has a new team leader: Danny Brown
Danny is exceptionally well qualified. He has a first class degree in maths from Sheffield University , a Russell Group institution. He also has an MSc in Applied Statistics and Operational Research from Birkbeck College University of London. He was awarded a Distinction and the Royal Society of Statistics prize for his studies.
Danny is also a very experienced teacher and manager. He has taught Maths at Thomas Tallis School, where he was Deputy Head of Department , and Greenwich Free School, where he was Head of Department. Danny also has knowledge and experience of the practical application of Maths because he an actuary and worked as Senior Mathematician in a City insurance firm before he embarked in a career in teaching.
Danny is passionate about the importance and role of Maths in education. He has written several books about the teaching of the subject and has his own websites too. He has also helped to train Maths teachers at King's College London and the University of Greenwich.
