Sarah is highly qualified. She has a First Class degree in Jurisprudence from Magdalen College Oxford; an MBA in Foundations of Leadership from Imperial College London, and is working towards an MA in Education at the Institute of Education UCL. Sarah also brings major experience of working in education. She has had responsibility for leading Citizenship at Plumstead Manor and Crown Woods Schools. She then planned and set up, from scratch , Greenwich Free School. At Greenwich Free School, as well as being its founder, Sarah was Deputy Head with responsibility for, among other things, curriculum and teaching and learning. She was also Interim Co-Headteacher and the sole Headteacher for a term.

Sarah is strongly committed to teaching. She comes to BSix with an outstanding track record of raising results: for example, she consistently delivered in GCSE and A Level subjects and was judged to be 'Outstanding' by Ofsted inspectors on their visit to Plumstead Manor High school. Sarah is now combining her Vice-Principal role with the teaching of AS Government & Politics at BSix.

Sarah has also worked as a researcher, helping the Brilliant Club to evaluate its work; writing a report on the impact of 'Bootstrap', a Hackney-based social enterprise; and publishing an article on baseline assessment in reception.

"BSix is entering a new era ", the College's Principal Ken Warman concludes. "We are attracting highly qualified and extremely capable people who can take the College to outstanding not only in Ofsted terms but in everything it does. It is heartening that people such as Sarah are joining the College because of its commitment to comprehensive education. These are very exciting times for BSix –its students , its staff , its governors and the communities we serve".
