From Norway to BSix!
BSix welcomed a delegate of 10 Norwegian educationalists and school leaders from the upper secondary school sector in the 16-19-age range. They were interested in our comprehensive ethos and spent the morning with Principal Ken Warman, looking at our strategy for 'Achieving high standards'.
Our visitors were impressed with both the academic and vocational teaching they observed. Norwegian Director Oystein Berglund, responsible for 17 schools, credited our Health and Social Care provision for their holistic approach to vocational education.
Our visitors spent valuable time with our student ambassadors and representatives from the Student Union. They commented on the importance we place on the student voice along with the richness of our diversity and the manner in which we implement BSix values.
It was a pleasure to spend time with our Norwegian colleagues and we look forward to hosting future visits from overseas.
